About me
Junior Machine Learning Engineer building AI that matters
I work on AI systems for real-world data including pathology slides, CT scans, CCTV footage and design layouts. I hold a BS in Artificial Intelligence from FAST-NUCES (2025, CGPA 3.8, Magna Cum Laude) and have spent over a year building ML systems at Orydex.
Experience
Where I've worked
I joined Orydex straight out of university, starting with Kaggle medical-imaging competitions during training before moving onto production computational pathology and agentic AI work.
Junior Machine Learning Engineer
Orydex · Full-time · Remote
- Built a multi-agent ML automation pipeline with the OpenAI Agents SDK (details classified).
- Containerised the ML backend with Docker and integrated Redis/Celery workers for async experiment jobs; deployed to AWS EC2.
- Developed biomarker prediction models on whole-slide pathology images (TCGA-BRCA) using foundation-model embeddings and MIL architectures.
- Implemented an improved modelling approach (Multi-Task Learning) on an existing pathology baseline, and extended the workflow to colorectal cancer.
- Competed in Kaggle medical imaging challenges: melanoma (~0.90 AUC) and RSNA intracranial aneurysm detection.
- Toolkit day-to-day: Python, PyTorch, Git, Django and LLM integrations via OpenAI SDK / OpenRouter.
